Packing your Space
Place pallets or plastic on the floor
Leave a walkway to the rear of the unit
Place frequently retrieved items near the front
Place valuables in the rear of the unit
Tables having removable legs should be "broken down" to save space
Sofas and love seats can be stored on end to save floor space
Boxes
List contents of boxes on 3x5 note cards instead of on each box.
Number the boxes to match card numbers.
Keep cards in a safe convenient place for use when unpacking
Use uniform size boxes for easy stacking
Dishes and glasses should be wrapped in paper and packed in sturdy boxes.
Misc.
Furniture with drawers can be utilized as storage space.
Use a good quality lock on your door. Cheap locks are not as secure and can rust.
Do not store anything hazardous. (i.e. flammable, explosives, corrosives, or poisons)
